Initiation Manual - "It hadn’t snowed in Rome for 26 years" told me the Jordan and Mateo. Rome was expecting the return of the wolf; maybe that’s it. So that was why we were stuck in traffic for two hours at the city gate? Cut Roads? But I’m going too far ahead of myself: we should have arrived at 5 am to Rome, but it was already 2 pm when we passed the gates of city. So let’s go back to 23:40 - it is curious what can happen when you get to Pisa without an initiation manual of Italy. So look at the 1st page: Point 1: Choice of clothing and handbags to bring in Pisa’s airport – a green leather jacket and a harmonium in your hand are certainly choices that will bring you a mandatory sentence of the Carabinieri "Documenti per favore! "(especially if your name is Marco). Of course, it will provide you with some 4 walled moments behind closed doors with these wise connoisseurs of musical instruments, and that might delay you for about 15 minutes that can be precious. However, if you must go for these choices, then follow to Point 2: If what occupies the pocket of the jacket is a reservation for a car at 2 am, a time other than the time of, say an office (and reinforcing the idea, or concept of RESERVE) then you may encounter a guy with the smile of Mephistopheles that will tell you, hum ... you have a reservation with this company? You’d better run, they will not wait. Yes, but here the race is of little worth. But be warned not to leave the guy in the green jacket inside the airport with all the baggage because, by magic, the airport may close the doors and this jacket along with the owner can get out of sight. Point 3: When in foreign lands, the smiles may be misinterpreted, like Mephistopheles. As far as we know it may be that this guy is called Valerio. And if so, he can give you the first impressions of driving in Italy (in the wrong roads, burning red lights - and everything, yes, all with the semi-open trunk with your luggage) - and still you will be in very good hands. Point 4: Make no mistake with the knowledge that the natives have of the arrivals and departures of trains; especially if that knowledge is transmitted to you by someone who does not know the traffic rules and has a car. You might find yourselves in a strange train station without any available lines to Rome and in the company of some suspicious folks (if you take a Jorri on your journey, then everything is fine, because it in less time than it takes your head imagine all the possibilities of being mugged he will get you a room). Point 5: Rent a car - do not forget to scrape the ice of the windows, make sure that all windows work and if the lighter the car is in good condition. These are good advices so you don’t need to change your car 3 times (which, from personal experience, I guarantee you that will delay you further). End of Italy’s Initiation Manual. The Coliseum is as I expected - the smell of ancient history and my imagination get far too involved. A bit of both ... but I’ll return to that. So, Jordan and Mateo told me that Rome was having an unusual weather, but they both, along with Paolo and Filipo warmed the beginning of the evening at the Officine. They are the Vinegar Socks, one of the best bands I have heard, able to throw the house down while doing that, melting your heart. Good friends. Thus, the Wolf took his first dance steps in Rome - Il Lupo di Roma. Now at the distance of a few hours, between the words of Mateo, the night is stealing the clarity. Tomorrow Rome opens her arms again. (I miss the future) Joao Rui
