Dei-lhe horas e horas do meu silêncio atento.
O Augusto, o Paulo, o Tim, a Danni, a D. Luisa…
Joao RuiIs it far enough? - The sun that rises over Caccamo only did so for the waters of the lake that sleeps between the mountains. The silence of their long embrace was na ancient. Then came the people and the silence was longer one. He became one half divided between loneliness and sorrow. We go through them both before heading to the Adriatic. (I kept in secret the whispers of the reflections of the sun to take them to meet the sea). It is far? It is far enough? The tides of this sea that I guess so different from mine also asked me for time that I do not have. I want to sit here to know you better, but I only came to bring you secrets that are not mine. The knees are of the sand, the eyes are of the sea, but the heart is not from here. I let my hands taste the freshness of the water, I allow the lips the scent of the seas’s breath and I give my feet the sand that turns into soil and asphalt until nothing remains but the pictures that are hung outside the window from the Adriatic to Ariano Nel Polesine. Next to the square of the image that recalls so many souls for whom the bell tolled there is a road that brings us to the Porcupine Pub. In front of the flag of the old and torn out flag of the United Kingdom a memory came to my mind, the recollection of having bought well over more than ten years ago over the Arco da Almedina an album called “Bunny Gets Paid” of a band named “Red Red Meat”. I gave it hours and hours of my attentive silence. Tim Hurley who now goes under the name "Sin Ropas" was in this same album. Today, he is here with a different name and with a girl named Danni with hands on piano and on the skin of drums. At the first snap of the strings, all my memory clings to my shoulder hoping to keep back the time. What a magnificent coincidence to find here today an ancient bard that cradled my years. Thus, the wolf was dancing over the dust of stars. Another day that feels like a decade... and if it were otherwise, I would not have to condense into a few lines the eyes that I will take with me. Augusto, Paulo, Tim, Danni, D. Luisa ... We go like we came (but from here we do not part) Joao Rui
