Na fronteira do Sul

Video by Daniela Maduro 2009

É-o sempre, sempre…

O vento soprou doce estes dias.

At the border of South
So short is my absence of the delirium, that when returning to the normal time, all is vanity and passing time. These days we went south, under the veil of a hot night and the auspices of sunlight. I can not avoid the changes that the waves operate in me .. I am always willing to go, to go over and under them; onward, onward, to anywhere, to nowhere. In the presence of this magnificent destiny I never recognize my feet, that insist on being castles of sand or sacred cats. My eyes have left and to this place they do not belong anymore. And it is not this one time. It is always, always ...
The wind blew sweet these days. The scent that comes from our silence mixed with the breath of our hands in every song we sang. We Traveled streets, avenues and alleys of emotions; we hummed and sung everywhere where we had not yet done so. And if any place did not hear it was because it was not listening – even in the blossomed gardens of the memories that I do not allow surrendering to oblivion, there are poppy that do not open but that one day were flower and part of me.
Strange Germanic that welcomed our delirium received us with gifts of wine and unexpected smiles: one more gantry that I will look after and and remember. Just as the eyes of the cars that rolled by our side ... rosebuds.
Now that everything is diluting in the wind of days, I deliver the vague memories to the gantries … the happy encounter with Sam Alone at Fnac Algarve; the journey of 8 hours that began as 3h and then went to 6h, but in the end was of 8h; the traffic squad who needed our saxon translation for a girl who wanted to force her way back to Lisbon, on foot and on the wrong side of the motorway…
In a moment all will be dust... if it wasn’t for the video all would be my invention.
The wolf went to meet the south and the sun pleased him. He fell in love with the sea. He was long expected.
