The reason of my mother [06.05.2011 Portalegre] From the balcony of the CAEP I’m watched by the ruins and the towers of the city; and the chimneys only deliver the smoke of memory. Robinson. One year has passed since the last time we were here on the run; without time to know the streets, the faces – the silences of this city. I said farewell as if the return was not possible; as if I thought my mother’s reason was a fantasy. But it was not. And Portalegre, land of wolves like us, kept a smile to offer me today. João Rui
