Madrugada [Recording sessions]

Dawn [Recording sessions] With the swell of hours, the day moves forward as if we were approaching the end of the days - and each new morning welcomes our tired body a few hours later than we had given her the day before; as if we had forgotten the cycle of the days... As the teeth of the old keyboards carve themselves in the chords, they precipitate the songs onward. And the skin with goosebumps? It is not the cold that offers her this seizure. Such strange hours of the dawn are these, that have come to visit us.

Ainda.

A Sangria de Agosto [13.08.2011 Fundão] Tonight the past came here to find memory of what I no longer am. I know not why or how he left from me: forever we will be strangers whose eyes cross somewhere between the hate of the promise and the forgiveness of what was stolen. So I gave him the wolf. The one of the roots. Still.

The light that comes through the window [Recording sessions] - In this room where I come to die, all smiles stop by the door: they look at the light broken by the long black curtains that descend from the sleeping ceiling beams and calmly they wait for the end. The ink rises from the poems that waited eternity inside the black book so they can surrender to the prison of the microphone. And there’s mathematics at work in this dialogue: one estimates the size of the claws of the voice and on that basis one invents a way to leave no escape from this prison. What a strange way of finding what was lost. João Rui
